The Supreme Heavy Plus 500 LPD ETC Solar Water Heater is a large-capacity evacuated tube system with a porcelain-enamel-coated CRCA steel tank, sized for 10 to 12 people, carrying a 20-year tank warranty. It uses 38 tubes to heat a 500 litre tank rated to handle water hardness up to 2000 ppm. It is a gravity-fed, non-pressurized system.
A 20-year warranty at 500 litres, and why the construction supports it. Most solar water heaters guarantee the tank for 5 to 10 years; a few reach 15. Twenty years on a large-capacity system is unusual, and it matters more here than on a domestic unit: replacing a corroded 500 litre tank means dismantling a 38-tube array off a roof, which is an expensive, disruptive job. The inner tank is CRCA steel cold rolled close annealed, the grade used where a smooth uniform surface is required finished with porcelain enamel, which is glass fused to the steel at high temperature rather than a coating applied on top. That fusion is why it bonds permanently and resists the scaling that destroys ordinary tanks. The outer shell is powder-coated steel or stainless.
Built for hard water. On borewell supply, where mineral-heavy water destroys an ordinary tank in three to four years, the porcelain enamel surface and 2000 ppm rating are what let this unit carry a 20-year guarantee. Across the water heaters we stock, only Sudarshan Saur's glass-lined range and our own Varistor ETC match this rating most V-Guard and Racold models handle 600 to 1000 ppm.
Capacity for a joint family or establishment. At 500 litres this serves a joint family, a PG, a hostel, or a guest house where 10 to 12 people need hot water in the same morning window. Thirty-eight evacuated tubes feed the tank, each holding a vacuum layer that traps heat like a thermos, so the system keeps producing on cold winter mornings and overcast monsoon days when a flat plate system slows which matters most in an establishment where running out mid-morning means complaints.
A remarkably compact footprint. This unit needs only 7 feet by 6 feet of clear terrace space very small for a 500 litre system, and considerably less than an equivalent four-panel flat plate installation, which needs upwards of 9 by 14 feet. On a rooftop already carrying tanks and other equipment, that difference can decide whether the system fits at all.
Two things to confirm before ordering. Your overhead tank or Sintex must sit at least 6 feet above terrace level, because this system runs on gravity. And if you have a booster pump on your terrace, this product is not for you — you need a pressurized model instead. If your overhead tank sits lower than 6 feet, ask our team about Supreme's Sleeper models, which need only 1 foot of height.
The price includes transportation to your house, lifting to the terrace, and installation. You arrange the plumbing and electrical wiring.
SolarClue is India's managed solar marketplace. Our team confirms whether 500 LPD suits your household or establishment, tests your water hardness against this tank, and checks your terrace and tank height before you pay anything. You book with a token payment rather than the full amount upfront. Delivery, terrace lifting and installation are coordinated by us through verified partners, and we handle Supreme warranty support afterwards.
